About me
Hi, my name is Anwyll de Leeuw. I am a musician, teacher, writer and photographer from Johannesburg, South Africa. After completing an Information System’s degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2008, I worked as a System’s Analyst for 10 years at different I.T. consulting houses and financial institutions.
During this period, playing guitar was just a hobby – a means to unwind and just jam. I really wanted to take music more seriously and improve my playing, and so in 2015, I decided to….
Musician and Music Teacher
My first language is guitar, and I play the bass as well. I love drawing influences from jazz, blues, rock, rnb, hiphop and electronic music. I also teach music – both individual one-on-one and group classes.
Blogger and Researcher
I am interested in writing about a broad range of topics: music, history, notable past and present figures, places, business, self improvement, science and technology, social issues, food and academic research papers.
Photographer
I am primarily an event’s photographer, capturing moments at corporate events, weddings and functions etc. However, whenever I can, I enjoy getting out there and doing street and nature photography.
Let's talk 🙂
